SAN LUIS OBISPO

Main Tandem office for the central coast region and regional toll office for AT&T.  At one time had microwave service with a path to Tassajara.  AT&T had L-3 cable connections to Santa Maria, Salinas and San Luis Obispo Junction.  The junction was the site where the terrestrial cables connected to the "landing station" where it was connected to the oceanic cables.  As of 2003 all coax cables were retired and fiber optic cables went to Hawaii (two F/O one part of the Transpacific Cable Network) and Guam.

Old Exchanges: LIberty 3, 4 and LYric 5
