Tucson Metropolitan Region:
Located about 100 miles south of Phoenix, Tucson is a rapidly growing city. Telephone service was initially provided by Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company which became Mountain Bell. In 1984 after the divestiture, US West took over the assets of Mountain Bell, then became Qwest in 2000.
