 HAWAII TELEPHONE CENTRAL OFFICE'S

 

Central offices of Hawaii.  Verizon Hawaii was sold to the Carlyle about two years ago.  New name is Hawaii Telephone. 

 

LAHAINA

 

 This is the Verizon Hawaii (GTE Hawaiian Tel) building that houses the GTD5 switch for Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
 

LIHUE

 

 This building is home to Verizon Hawaii's GTD5 switch in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii.   These photos were taken in November 2004 and the damage to the metal siding of the CO building caused by Iniki in 1992 still remain.

HILO

 

 This building houses the DMS100 switch at Hilo, Hawaii.
The building still has Hawaiian Telephone Company and logo at the door.
 

HONOLULU "MAIN"

 

 Main Tandem office for the Hawaiian Island Chain.  Verizon Hawaii (GTE Hawaiian Tel) Honolulu-Alakea CO building complex in downtown Honolulu
