Pontiac is the tandem office for the
northwestern region of the Detroit metropolitan area. Also was a
AT&T toll center with microwave connection to Milford. There
were another pair of microwave horns but these have been removed and
possibly shot toward Pontiac tower or Mount Clemens.
The original central office was built by Michigan Bell in 1928 and later expanded in the 50s and 60s. Today fiber optic connects Pontiac with Detroit and Flint. |

Ameritech. Note retired AT&T microwave tower TD-2 paths
connected Marquette to Forsyth.

Newer CO built by Michigan Bell to serve the small suburb of Centerline (Within the City of Warren) and also serves the General Motors Technical Center hence the office name of "Tech" (GM Tech Center) and "Line" Centerline. |
